This program provides financial assistance to Aboriginal students enrolled in post-secondary education. Aboriginal students that are ordinarily resident in British Columbia and are enrolled full time in a recognized post-secondary university or college in a minimum two-year program are eligible to apply for a First Citizens Fund student bursary. The level of assistance will be determined by need and will reflect the amount of assistance received from other sources. The maximum level of assistance is $700/year for Band or Tribal Council funded students and $2,000/year for non-funded students. This program is offered to graduate students who are undertaking full-time research training leading to a Ph.D. degree. Duchesnay FellowshipsDetails: CFWHDeadline: May 1, 2010Agency: CFWHThe Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health attributes two Duchesnay fellowships every year to resident students in obstetrics and gynaecology who desire to complete an elective in a health care center of a developing country. The fellowships cover four to eight weeks and the amount varies from $2,500CAD to $4,500CAD according to the length of the elective. A $700CAD lump‐sum will be allocated to the local supervisor of the elective. |
