Part of Nasivvik Centre’s mandate involves the support of research and training for postgraduate students and the development of new, innovative areas of research of importance to Inuit health. This year, the Nasivvik Centre is announcing its fourth call for post-doctoral fellowships linked to Inuit health and changing environments. Applications are invited from post-doctoral trainees whose research focuses on an issue related to one or more of the 3 themes identified by Nasivvik Centre.
Objectives
- to provide recognition and funding to academic researchers on Inuit health and changing environments early in their career;
- to support the development of innovative and highly skilled and qualified researchers on issues of concern to Inuit;
- to develop research expertise in any of the theme areas of the Nasivvik Centre as they pertain to Inuit Health.

 

2009 Scholarship for Graduate Students in Inuit Environmental Health

Applications are invited from students whose graduate research focuses on an issue related to one or more of the 3 themes identified by the Nasivvik Centre. The submission of projects that are being conducted in cooperation with an Inuit community or organization, which include in community research time, and that have a high probability of contributing to the understanding of a specific Inuit environmental health issue and the student’s education in Inuit health is strongly encouraged.
