BC Environmental and Occupational Health Research Network

Funding is to support the work of students in any healthcare profession, as well as other disciplines (including but not limited to social sciences, human kinetics, psychology and human factors engineering) interested in patient safety. The goal is to create new collaborative learning opportunities aligned with the mandate of CPSI. Students are required to be the major resource in carrying out the tasks involved in each patient safety project.

The successful Fellow is expected to design and undertake a program to expand his/her knowledge and expertise and use it to address a critical issue(s) in their organization for improving patient safety. Applicants are expected to outline their own innovative 12-month experience to gain an in-depth understanding of their area of study, learn about innovative approaches to improving patient safety, build an international network of experts for future collaboration and support, and transfer the knowledge to Canadian health care organizations.
