AllerGen NCE Inc., the Allergy, Genes and Environment Network (AllerGen), a national research network, is pleased to announce the launch of a national competition for an Emerging Clinician-Scientist Research Fellowship valued at $250,000 over two years. The goal of the AllerGen Emerging Clinician-Scientist Research Fellowship is to enable Canadian Clinical Immunologists and Allergists to pursue allergy, asthma and/or anaphylaxis academic research training immediately following their Clinical Immunology and Allergy sub-specialty training in order to:
• Strengthen the academic capacity of Canadian Clinical Immunology and Allergy sub-specialists
• Increase Canadian capacity for translational Clinical Immunology and Allergy research
• Facilitate enhanced patient care through excellence in basic and clinical Allergy and related immune disease research.

CAIDATI

AllerGen is inviting applications for its Canadian Allergy and Immune Diseases Advanced Training Initiative (CAIDATI) awards, which are intended to contribute to a significant increase in Canada’s research capacity in allergy, asthma, anaphylaxis and related immune/inflammatory processes through joint funding of new studentships in partnership with other organizations across Canada.
This training award is aimed at undergraduate summer students and at students pursuing MD, Masters and PhD degrees and Post-Docs. Eligible applicants must be Canadian citizens or hold Canadian permanent resident status and be currently enrolled or accepted in a full-time degree programme at a Canadian university.

Clinician Scientist Research Fellowship

The goal of the AllerGen Clinician-Scientist Research Fellowship is to develop Canadian clinical investigators pursuing allergy, asthma and/or anaphylaxis academic research training simultaneously with and/or immediately following their Allergy/Clinical Immunology (A/CI) sub-specialty training in order to increase the numbers and level of academic excellence of MDs with a specialty in allergy and clinical immunology, enhance patient care and increase translational allergy and clinical immunology research and academic capacity in Canada.
Eligible Fellowship academic foci may include basic and/or clinical research related to allergy, asthma and/or anaphylaxis.

CAIDATI – AllerGen’s Candian Allergy and Immune Diseases Advanced Training Initiative
