Up to three (3) Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship will be awarded to students from Canada for graduate study at Harvard University in academic year 2010-2011. The Fellows will be required to devote the major part of their time to study in one of the Faculties of Harvard University: Arts and Sciences (including Engineering), Business Administration, Design, Divinity Studies, Education, Law, Public Administration (John F. Kennedy School of Government), Medicine, Dental Medicine and Public Health. The University will try to arrange courses suitable to the requirements of the Fellows.

Up to three (3) Frank Knox Memorial Fellowships will be awarded to students from Canada for graduate study at Harvard University in academic year 2009-2010.
The Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship program was established by Annie Reid Knox who sought to honour her late husband and his lifelong commitment to America. Mrs. Knox expressed the hope that the holders of the Fellowships return to their homes and become leaders in their chosen field once they had gained knowledge and experience from their study away from Canada.

Applications are by nomination by deans of engineering only. Each university may nominate two candidates (one male and one female). Candidates must have completed the first year of an engineering program. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

The objective of this scholarship is to support young Canadian visionaries who have a drive to make a difference
in the future. The scholarship program encourages individuals with academic excellence
and demonstrated leadership. The Centennial scholarship program will have a national presence and will create a legacy for ConocoPhillips Canada Centennial year.

Fellowships are being offered for research in the field of Life Sciences including biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, agriculture, medicine, pharmacy and physiology. Projects involving animal models are rejected and preference is given to non-cosmetic research.

For the 2009-2010 academic year, fellowships are being offered for research in the field of Engineering/Pure and Applied Sciences. The fellowships offered will alternate each year between the fields of Life Sciences and Engineering/Pure and Applied Sciences.
