The AACR Gertrude B. Elion Cancer Research Award is open to tenure-track scientists at the level of assistant professor, who completed postdoctoral studies or clinical fellowships no more than four years prior to the start of the grant term. It provides a one-year grant of $50,000 for salary and benefits, supplies, equipment, and limited travel for the grant recipient. Projects may focus on research in cancer etiology, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention (basic, translational, or clinical cancer research).

AACR Basic Cancer Research Fellowships are one-year grants of up to $45,000 to support the salary and benefits of the fellow. A partial amount of funds, up to 25 percent of the total grant, may be designated for direct research expenses. Research projects are restricted to basic cancer research.

The Landon Foundation-AACR INNOVATOR Award for Research in Personalized Cancer Medicine represents a joint effort between the Landon Foundation and the AACR to accelerate progress in the area of personalized medicine by providing support for physician-scientists who conduct meritorious studies that hold promise for near-patient benefit.
Such studies may include:
• Proof-of-concept studies in humans;
• Translational clinical trials that utilize science-based methodologies for patient selection;
• Multidisciplinary research that includes the incorporation of disciplines that are new to cancer research, i.e., the physical sciences, mathematics, etc.;
• Studies that molecularly target pathways; or
• The identification of genes and genetic variations that play a role in cancer treatment responses; or
• Other innovative areas of cancer therapeutics.

International research collaboration can successfully address the global health problem of cancer through access to unique populations and environments, shared resources, specialized expertise, new concepts and perspectives, innovative methodologies, and/or emerging technologies. However, barriers to sustaining these collaborations exist, such as the lack of funding as well as the lack of sharing of knowledge about these important research partnerships.
This Award will support highly meritorious research that is being conducted collaboratively by investigators in different countries around the world. The goals of the program are to:
• Overcome barriers to international collaboration by providing funding for costs traditional grant mechanisms may not support;
• Raise the profile of the importance of collaboration to conquering the cancer problem; and
• Provide the means to facilitate travel and the sharing of knowledge that otherwise may have been difficult to achieve.

Two-year grant of $100,000. Two grants will be awarded this cycle. The Fellowships are open to postdoctoral and clinical research fellows. Applications are invited from researchers currently in the field as well as from investigators with experience in other areas of cancer research who have promising ideas or research approaches that can be applied to ileal carcinoid tumor research. Proposed research may be basic, translational, clinical, or epidemiological in nature and must have direct application and relevance to ileal carcinoid tumors.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation-AACR Grants for Translational Breast Cancer Research were established in 2007 to provide support for innovative cancer research projects designed to accelerate the discovery, development, and application of new agents to treat breast cancer and/or for pre-clinical research with direct therapeutic intent.
It is anticipated that two grants of up to $200,000 each will be awarded.

The INNOVATOR Award for Personalized Cancer Medicine provides a two-year grant of $100,000 ($50,000 per year) for direct research expenses, which may include salary and benefits of the grant recipient, postdoctoral or clinical research fellows, and/or research assistants, research/laboratory supplies, and equipment.

This Award will support highly meritorious research that is being conducted collaboratively by investigators in different countries around the world. The goals of the program are to:
