Search: Canadian Breast Cancer Research Alliance2 results ResultsKT Grants – Knowledge Translations InitiativesAgency: Canadian Breast Cancer Research Alliance Knowledge translation (KT) should be an integral and ongoing part of the research cycle. Research on KT - that is, research that aims to generate new strategies for effective knowledge translation - is a growing and relevant research domain. National funding agencies, such as CIHR, have held strategic initiatives to fund research on KT. For this reason, CBCRA does not currently plan to sponsor a strategic RFA on KT. Rather, the CBCRA KT Initiative will focus on ensuring and facilitating the inclusion of appropriate KT activities in each proposal submitted through the regular operating grants competition and to introduce mechanisms to facilitate the KT activities of researchers. Deadline: April 1, 2008 Details: IDEA GrantsAgency: Canadian Breast Cancer Research Alliance IDEA grants support innovative, new research ideas that are speculative, but have the potential for advancing scientific knowledge. These are small-scale, one-year pilot studies or investigations of concepts to permit the investigator to test out new ideas, which, although based on good science, are outside of existing conventional research paradigms and could be deemed speculative. The expectation is that these ideas, once explored, will lead to the development of proposals for more extensive research grants. Deadline: April 1, 2008 Details: |
