BC Environmental and Occupational Health Research Network

NRAS provides funding to teams of at least two permanent faculty in eligible post-secondary institutions with proven records of excellence in the areas of natural resources, applied sciences and engineering. The projects must involve research that addresses clearly defined problems in these areas and proposes effective solutions to the problems; and high-calibre training and supervision of undergraduate and/or graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and other research personnel.

For researchers in British Columbia colleges, institutes and regional and special purpose universities engaged in the natural resources and advanced technology industries as well as other sectors of importance to British Columbia.
NRAS provides funding to permanent faculty in eligible post-secondary institutions working on projects with identified private sector collaborators. The projects must involve innovation activity, knowledge transfer and training for students and other innovation personnel; and financial contributions from the private sector collaborator are required.
