THE QUESTION
The Canadian agriculture and agri-food sector must adapt to a changing world. How can we fundamentally transform how we collaborate and innovate in order to meet emerging challenges and opportunities faced across the agriculture and agri-food sector?

Eligible applicants must:
• Be enrolled in graduate studies in one of the eligible institutions at the time of submitting your application;
• Submit a position paper addressing the policy options or models for one of the following issues:
o Issue: Food and Wellness Connection: "Can we afford to eat the same way?"
o Issue: Sustainability: "Can we afford to produce our food the same way?"
o Issue: Viability: "Should government change the way it supports the agriculture sector?"

The purpose of this award is to encourage young Canadians who wish to improve their proficiency in their second official language to pursue studies, on a full-time basis, at a university which functions in the other official language and in a milieu in which that language predominates.

The purpose of this program is to strengthen international partnerships and consolidate emerging networks among academic researchers from Canada and Latin America and the Caribbean. It is designed to support small collaborative research activities which will contribute to the creation, dissemination and sustained application of knowledge in the development process in at least one area of IDRC thematic priority.
Eligibility: Applicants from Canada and eligible Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries are encouraged to apply.
The LACREG program applies to collaborative research between Canada and the following LAC countries: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
