International Research Initiative on Adaptation to Climate Change

Agency:
NSERC

Adaptation to climate change is a shared challenge that presents a unique opportunity for collaborative and comparative research to advance knowledge, shape policy and programs, mentor students and facilitate networks. Adaptation is the adjustment in natural or human systems in response to actual or expected climatic conditions or their effects, which moderates harm or exploits beneficial opportunities. This initiative will support the formation of multi-national teams from Canada and LIC-MIC, which will develop networks and programs of research. Successful applicants will initiate multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral collaborations with researchers, communities, practitioners and policy-makers in Canada and around the globe.
