BC Environmental and Occupational Health Research Network

In its Strategic Plan (Blueprint 2007), CIHR committed to a re-invigorated and modernized approach to clinical research. The Clinical Research Initiative is CIHR’s response to both the pressing need and the immense opportunity to strengthen clinical research in Canada: without a more robust clinical research enterprise, CIHR’s investments and those of others in fundamental life sciences research will not be translated into improved health for Canadians.
The purpose of this program is to further strengthen clinical research by providing research training to health professionals and strengthen talent development. It is expected that this targeted investment will lead to the development of the next generation of clinician-researchers.
