In order to facilitate the control of biofilms, this project aims to: 1) assess alternative biofilm sampling approaches, 2) develop better understanding of the effectiveness of available approaches for sampling pathogens and indicators within drinking water system biofilms, and 3) provide understanding on the most practical and accurate methods for biofilm sampling based on the specific application.
